I love Nature, I love Life. This project has educational character, and it involved all primary and secondary schools in the town. It comprised of 5 ecological subjects: water, air, ground, forest and meaning of ecology as a science. 5 lectures were performed, with appropriate video material for each subject. Promotional material was printed too: flags, certificates of appreciation, pamphlets and brochures, which were distributed to all participants-listeners. Project is accomplished 1994/1995; financed by REC, budget $1500.

Institutional development of EA “Vila Zora”. With this project, office of EA “Vila Zora” got equipment: computer, printer and telefax. This enabled institutional development of our NGO, work conditions significantly get improved and our activities rose.  Accomplished in February 1996, financed by ITZ, budget 145780 MKD.

Arrangement of the Youth Park. With this project the youth park in the central city area was arranged. It was cleaned up of garbage three times, with the participation of ecologists, NGOs and citizens. Garbage cans were placed in the park and it was arranged with flowers. At the end of the project completely arranged park was promoted by defile with cultural-artistic program. Duration: March-November 1997; financed by ITZ, budget 70600 MKD.

School yards, paradise gardens. This project had two purposes: educational and terrain work. In the educational part a promotional material was made, posters and pamphlets, which were distributed all around the town. Terrain work included all primary and secondary schools and preschools by arranging their yards with dendro material. Also, it was arranged the place in front of polyclinic "Ured" in the central city area. Duration: 16.03.2000-30.04.2000; financed by UNDP, budget 574820 MKD.

Eco - natural. This was an educational project. Several activities were included: printing of educational-ecological bulletins, ecological education, organizing of workshops, called Eco-games. The target group was children from preschool and school age until fourth grade from all primary schools in the town and all preschools. The project was carried out in January 2000 and financed by REC with budget of $2000.

Collection of international conventions and protocols. This project was aimed for printing of “Collection of international conventions and protocols”, in which for the first time the published texts of six international conventions and one protocol for protection of environment were compiled. Duration: 12/2001-02/2002; financed by REC, budget $2000.

Ecological-educational nook. In the yard of the Gymnasium the ecological-educational nook was made, which has area of 200m2. Besides this, education of the pupils in Gymnasium was held in order to develop their eco-awareness. The project was carried out from jun-december 2003, financed by FIOOM with total budget $5449, and $505 of our own contribution.

For the children from Veles. The project was aimed to purchase equipment for testing of possible allergic diseases of the children and adults. This apparatus was gained and given to P.H.O. “Medical center” Veles, in order to benefit all. Project was done 11/2003-03/2004; financed by Balkan bank – Skopje with a budget of 3000 euros.

Local Initiatives for Support of Organic Agriculture. This project was done with DEM, in cooperation with Pronatura from Switzerland. There were 5 ecological associations from Macedonia, among them was ED “Vila Zora” – Veles. Basic goal was promotion and development of organic agriculture in Macedonia. Project was carried out in 2000-2003, financed by SDC with a budget of 1500000 MKD.

Local Agenda 21 for Municipality of Veles. In order to achieve sustainable development, a Local agenda 21 was made for the municipality of Veles. Citizen’s committee, made up of 22 representatives from the local authority, business-sector, institutions and NGO sector, prepared LA 21. Proposition-strategy, which included all political, social, cultural and technological needs in local community, was approved by City Council. Duration: 06/2004-06/2005; financed by REC, budget 6000 euros.

Veles on bikes. Initiative for raising of public awareness of the citizens in municipality of Veles to increase the use of bike as alternative travel means. There were made parking lots, at various locations throughout the city, informational material, city-lights, organized bike-tour and painters and art competition for the pupils. Duration: 12/2004-06/2005; financed by FIOOM, budget 81680 MKD.

Veles – history, culture, tourism, economy. A publication for cultural-historical characteristics of Municipality of Veles and tourist–economic potential was prepared by this project. Duration: 01.09.2004-01.03.2005; financed by Ministry for culture of Macedonia, budget 8000 euros.

Initiative for The first GMO-free zone. This project is a citizen’s initiative for declaring Veles as the first GMO-free zone, in order to protect the contaminated environment in Veles from genetically modified organisms. A declaration was prepared and delivered to the City Council for approval, supported by several thousand citizens. Duration: 15.12.2004-01.06.2005; financed by FIOOM, budget 2000 euros, and 1000 euros of our own contribution.

Citizen’s actions for democratic development. This project is directed towards raising of public awareness of how to participate in the local democratic processes with their own initiatives, propositions etc. Citizens were educated for the rights from Aarchus convention, The law of local self-government, and at the same time a initiative for establishing of Local Fund for Environment in Municipality of Veles was initiated. Duration: March-September 2005, financed by FIOOM, budget 2500 euros.  

Veles recycles. This project has multiple purposes: citizens’ education to select the garbage and to put in appropriate containers, public awareness raising for importance and usefulness of recycling, lowering the quantity of garbage on the streets, as well as making more beautiful city and raising the quality of life. Duration: September-December 2005, financed by FIOOM, budget 67900 MKD.

Ecology-internet-education. The purposes of this project are these: creating web-site of the association, raising the public awareness for the people of municipality of Veles, modernization of the work and the way of communication of the environmental organization. Financed by Ministry for environment and space planning, budget 40000 MKD.

Activate, Inform, Debate, Stop – AIDS.   With funds from the Small Project Assistance program through the United States Peace Corps, we designed a program to educate vulnerable segments of the population of Veles on the realitites and dangers of HIV/AIDS.  Using a unique method of peer education, we selected high school students to educate primary schools students about HIV/AIDS.  The focus was on increasing awareness about the disease and ways in which to protect themselves.  Part of the project was educating young members of the Roma population as well and the general population through a public awareness campaign.  The total amount of funds received was $2,650 USD.

Bioremediation of the soil in Veles. The main idea of this project was to start the decontamination of the soil from heavy metals in Municipality of Veles with the process of bioremediation. That is a green technology for sustainable development, the way of reducing and removing of organic, no organic (Pb, Cd, Zn), as well as mixed substances from the soil with plants – bioremediators.  In the beginning the soil was analyzed on three locations in the town. Than, with experts from the Faculty for Agriculture and Food from Skopje, the seeds were sawn on two locations, they were constantly controlled and protected and after the process was finished, the analyses of the soil were made again. The project was financed by Ministry of Environment of Macedonia, duration may-September 2006, budget 100000 MKD.

Green action in Veles. The main idea of the project was to initiate a coordinated action for public awareness raising for the people in Municipality of Veles that is from different ethnics (Macedonians, Albanians, Roma, Bosnians, Turks, Serbs) in order to educate them that the preservation the forests improves the quality of environment. The project also involved activities for complementation of the law in order to stimulate tree planting by local population. Besides NGO, the responsible institutions were activated in order to preserve and increase the forests. Duration: September-December 2006, co-financed by FIOOM and EA “Vila Zora”, budget 181500MKD.

Tax relieves for civil organizations. This project was implemented by EA “Vila Zora” – Veles, in coordination with MCIC. Basically, it was a seminar as an integral part of serial activities in the frames of the project “Tax relieves for civil organizations” in the program of CPM. Main contractor and charged for implementation of this program is MCIC, in the frames of the component “Improving of the legal and fiscal frame for civil organizations, coordinated by FIOOM. Duration: 29th august- 10th September 2007, co financed by MCIC and EA “Vila Zora”, budget 28568 MKD.
